    Where the Grass is Greener

The new abode comes with a newly installed, low maintenance garden. Sounds like a grand idea, except for the kitschy pretend grass. It will do though, easy maintenance appeals to my lazy side, even if it is a little on the cheap and cheesy side. What I take exception to is the fact that I need to weed the stuff!!!! WHAT?!?! It’s only clover sneaking through which isn’t ugly but it worries me what else will find its way here at some point. Clover extracted and as I gazed at the “lawn” I decided it also needed a tidy up. As a seasoned gardener, lawn aficionado, green keeper….okay, as a…

And on the 50th Day, she made coffee!

Behold!!! Coffee has once again graced my life and I can function as the best introvert I can possibly be! And I am drinking and drinking, and drinking – I can’t get enough. As you see my new little darling on the left is supplying me with my caffeine fix daily, well, perhaps hourly. They continued into Sunday and with no relief in sight, like Miss Polly who was concerned for her sick dolly, I called for the doctor. Was it appendicitis? That’s what we first thought. No. He thought it may be related to my gallbladder or liver so suggested I head to A&E and get blood…

    Installation Complete

Hooray, we’re installed in the new house. Overall it went ahead fairly seamless but the timing of everything added a little anxiety to our already stressed, introverted minds. Injuries were plenty, we made bruises a trend – at least in our house – and we were just plain exhausted by the end of it. The timing meant that the first day we could go into the new place was the last day of the old one but we pulled it off with the help of some good people. It’s another two storey townhouse and while the stairs are better in here, I have still managed to claim the first fall…

    And Then THIS Happened

Oh if you thought the car breaking down was the worst thing that can happen – think again!!! Just think again! And then cry your little heart out at my recent loss! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooo *sobs uncontrollably* My espresso machine DIED!!!! Do you hear me? IT DIED!!! As in DEAD! Like, really DEAD. Deceased! It’s bereft of life! It has checked out! Defunct! Expired! Perished! Unanimated! Lifeless! My life-giving machine has gone¬†meet its maker to the rubbish dump! I’m mortified! Without the coffee, I can’t do the walking, or the talking, let alone stay awake for the day literally full of beans! Woe is me! hahaha Bastard machine. I can’t complain too…
